- Sean McCann, the younger brother of Madeleine McCann, has been selected to represent Scotland at the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
- The 21-year-old swimmer is expected to compete in several longer-distance freestyle events at the Games, which commence on Thursday.
- McCann, a Loughborough University student, previously represented Scotland at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Tobago in 2023, where he placed fifth in the 400m freestyle.
- He hopes his performance at the Commonwealth Games will help him secure a place in the Great Britain team for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
- McCann trains nine times a week in the pool and three times in the gym, dedicating over 20 hours weekly to his sport since the age of 11.
