
Folarin Balogun could miss the USMNT game on Monday against Belgium after all.
Controversy arose from the 2026 World Cup on Sunday after FIFA announced that Balogun’s red card suspension had been lifted ahead of the game against Belgium.
However, Belgium have reportedly submitted an appeal to reverse the decision to allow the star striker to play in Seattle.
The appeal will be heard in advance of kick-off at Lumen Field, with a decision being eagerly awaited on.
With hours to go until kick-off, there could yet be one final twist over Balogun’s availability for the game in the Pacific North West.

President Donald Trump thanked FIFA, which certainly did not help the USMNT’s case as further fury was sparked across the globe.
