- The BBC has announced it will rest the long-running television show DIY SOS in 2027 to help meet its wider £500 million savings target.
- A cost-effective spin-off titled DIY SOS Rebuilt My Life has been commissioned to revisit past families and historic renovation projects.
- Hosted by Nick Knowles since its launch in 1999, the series transforms homes for families dealing with severe illness, disability, or tragedy.
- The move follows several recent cuts by the broadcaster, including the cancellation of shows such as Blankety Blank, Celebrity Mastermind, and Live At The Apollo.
- Over its 35 series, DIY SOS has completed ambitious community builds, including housing for veterans and a new community centre for Grenfell Tower survivors.
