Netflix has not yet announced a season 2 for Undercover Miss Hong.

However, the K-drama’s ending leaves room for the story to continue. After the Hanmin scandal is exposed and the company begins its restructuring, Geum-bo prepares to move forward with another investigation, one focusing on several suspicious deaths linked to an insurance case. This plot development suggests that the Netflix show could explore new undercover missions of Geum-bo if the creators decide to expand her story in future seasons.

What happens in the finale of Undercover Miss Hong?

In the finale of the Korean drama, Hong Geum-bo and her allies succeed in exposing the corruption inside Hanmin Investment & Securities. Evidence from financial ledgers and witness testimonies exposes Chairman Kang Pil-beom’s crimes, including his role in running the company’s illegal slush fund network.

As the investigation intensifies, Kang attempts to escape the country, but his plan fails after his ex-wife Choi In-ja (played by Pyeon Jung-soo) secretly cooperates with the authorities and helps him get arrested.

With the truth finally exposed, Hanmin Investment & Securities begins restructuring under new leadership, with Cha Jung-il (played by Lim Chul-soo) stepping in as the CEO. The Yeouido Pirates disband after achieving their goal, and the members move on with their lives.

The K-drama closes with Geum-bo preparing for a new undercover assignment connected to suspicious deaths in an insurance case, leaving open the possibility that her efforts to combat corruption and financial crimes may continue.
