The Prince and Princess of Wales will not be attending Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's upcoming wedding, it has been reported.

Despite William's cheeky remarks earlier this year while speaking on Heart Radio, it seems the pair will not join the celebrations, per People.

The 36-year-old pop star is set to wed the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, also 36, this summer.

William had sent royal fans into a craze when he was asked by presenter Amanda Holden whether he would attend the highly-anticipated nuptials.

"No comment. I'm hoping, and I'm sure there might be an invitation around, but we'll see," the future King responded.

Those hopes, however, have now been dashed.

The ceremony is anticipated to take place over the American Independence Day weekend, with either New York City or Rhode Island serving as the likely venue.

According to NBC News, up to 1,100 guests have been invited, with several performances from multiple artists expected.

No explanation has been offered for the Wales' absence from the guest list.

During his radio interview back in May, William did admit that the Wales children are huge "Swifties".

"Charlotte, my daughter, and Louis, to be fair, Charlotte, particularly, is obsessed by Taylor Swift," William revealed.

He attended Swift's Eras Tour at Wembley Arena in June 2024 alongside Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince George, now 12.

The concert fell on William's birthday, and he described the experience as "amazing" during the radio broadcast.

"We were watching from up there, which is quite a long way from where the actual action is happening but the atmosphere was so incredible, you could actually feel the floors shaking when they were all dancing, it was brilliant," he recalled.

The Royal Family members met Swift and Kelce backstage after the performance, posing for group selfies together.

However, the bond between the Prince of Wales and the Grammy-winning artist extends back more than a decade.

Their first encounter occurred at the Centrepoint Winter Whites Gala in 2013, held at Kensington Palace, where William memorably took to the stage alongside Swift and rock legend Jon Bon Jovi for an impromptu performance of "Livin' on a Prayer".
