Coco Gauff headlines women’s semi-finals day at Wimbledon as the two-time major champion - and the highest seed remaining in the draw - faces off against former French Open finalist Karolina Muchova.
Gauff saw off compatriot Jessica Pegula in three sets, featuring another trademark fightback from the seventh seed, to continue her best run yet at the All England Club, as she reached the last four for the first time.
All four semi-finalists are at that stage for the first time, with Muchova ending Naomi Osaka’s brilliant run in two clinical sets, while ninth seed Linda Noskova and 12th seed Marta Kostyuk, who play in the other semi-final, saw off Elena Rybakina’s conqueror Elise Mertens and 2024 runner-up Jasmine Paolini respectively.
Meanwhile, Arthur Fery continued his extraordinary Wimbledon run. The British wildcard advanced to the semi-finals by beating Flavio Cobolli 6-4 7-6 (4) 6-0 in a stunning straight-sets victory to the disbelief of Centre Court.
Fery, who started the tournament ranked No 114 in the world, is only the second wildcard to reach the men’s semi-finals at Wimbledon and is the first since the 2001 champion Goran Ivanisevic.

The difference to Coco Gauff's unexpected Wimbledon run
10:43 , Flo CliffordCoco Gauff said previously that she took inspiration from Iga Swiatek’s run to the title last year: a player with a similar game style and a similarly torrid recent history on grass.
And her mentality this year has been similar to Swiatek’s free-swinging attitude in 2025, with the Pole putting less pressure on herself after a string of results that fell below her perilously high standards.
Gauff’s Roland-Garros title defence this year ended in the third round, and she said: “I had way too high expectations and way too much pressure on myself, because I did feel like I was playing good tennis, and it just didn't show at that tournament. I think I mentally blocked myself.
“Maybe I should go into it like I'm approaching here, because those seem to be the tournaments I do better at.”

Two-time major champion Gauff first shot to prominence at Wimbledon in 2019, when she reached the fourth round on her tournament debut and at just 15 years old.
The American has required a further six attempts to advance past the last-16 for the first time, defeating fourth seed Jessica Pegula in three sets in the quarter-finals on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old Gauff has won four deciding sets in a row but Muchova, the 10th seed, is a tough test in the semi-finals. The Czech all-round ended Naomi Osaka’s run in straight-sets.
Muchova, who is known for her inventive and creative shot-making, will be attempting to reach her first Wimbledon final and second grand slam final after the 2023 French Open.
The 29-year-old struggled with injuries following that Roland Garros run, and required wrist surgery at the start of the 2024 season, but is back healthy as she bids to win the biggest title of her career .

A gorgeous volley at the net secured the crucial second-set tiebreak before the 23-year-old Fery lifted his level to race away with the third without losing a single game, falling to his back as he won match point.
Fery will play the second seed and French Open champion Alexander Zverev in the semi-finals on Friday, for a place in the final against either Novak Djokovic or Jannik Sinner. “It just gets better and better every match,” a stunned Fery revealed. “I can’t believe it.”
