A woman allegedly jumped from an upper level at KLIA after reportedly being unable to board a flight, leaving travellers shocked as videos spread online.

A woman believed to be a foreign tourist allegedly jumped from an upper level at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), causing panic after videos of the incident circulated on social media yesterday.

According to a post shared on Threads by user @princefaex, the incident is believed to have taken place at the airport’s departure hall, where members of the public were later seen gathering around the scene.

Kosmo! reported earlier that the woman was believed to be a Chinese national. An individual who claimed to have been present alleged that the woman acted after discovering she was unable to board a flight due to the absence of a boarding pass.

“For everyone’s information, this Chinese woman jumped from above because she wanted to return to China, but she did not have a boarding pass. I was in the video and saw it from below,” the commenter wrote.

At the time of writing, no official statement has been issued by KLIA authorities or the police regarding the incident.
