KLUANG - A woman was killed after the vehicle she drove crashed into a lorry near Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) Renggam, Simpang Renggam here, on Tuesday.
Renggam Fire and Rescue Department (BBP) Operations Commander Assistant Fire Superintendent Muhammad Nizar Ma'mun said he received an emergency call at 7.33pm.
He said 10 personnel assisted by a Light Fire Rescue Tender (LFRT) were rushed to the scene.
"The accident involved a Hyundai Atos vehicle driven by the victim Tasnim Nazatul Amiera Mohd Nasrun, 21, and a five tonne Hino lorry driven by Mohd Suhaimi Samsudin, 42.
"The accident caused the victim to be stuck in the driver's seat. The firemen successfully removed her using special equipment," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
He said the victim was successfully removed from the vehicle and was unconscious before medics declared her dead.
" The victim was handed over to the police while the lorry driver did not suffer any injuries. Operations ended at 9.42pm," he said.
