A WOMAN was left horrified after discovering thick green mould inside a curry puff she had purchased from a well-known market in Kota Bharu, Kelantan.
In a Threads post that has garnered widespread attention, the woman shared photos showing what appeared to be thick green mould inside the curry puff she had bought earlier that morning.
“I don’t usually like to say bad things, but hmm. How old is this curry puff that aunty is selling?
“Luckily, I’m the type who breaks my food apart and checks it before eating,” she wrote.
In the photos, a layer of green mould could be seen covering the inside of the curry puff.
She later shared in the comments that she had lodged a complaint through the Public Complaints Management System (SISPAA) with the Health Ministry.
The post quickly drew reactions from netizens, many expressing disgust and concern over food safety, with some questioning how long the pastry had been stored before being sold.
“It’s so wrong to sell food like this,” commented a disgusted netizen.
Another posed a question that many others were also asking: “Oh my God, since what year has she been keeping that?”
When asked whether the other curry puffs she had purchased were also affected, the woman said she did not check them because she was too disgusted after discovering the mouldy filling.
“I didn’t touch the other two. I was too disgusted, hahaha,” she replied.
