On April 29, a woman in China accidentally stained four skirts with blood while trying them on at a clothing store.
According to Sin Chew Daily, the customer was on her period and had unknowingly left stains on all four light-coloured skirts she tried on.

The skirts could no longer be sold
Each skirt was originally priced at around RMB 2,000 (RM1,186), and the store believed the stains made them unsellable, even after washing.
They also pointed out that putting the skirts back on display could affect other customers’ willingness to buy them.
As a result, the store owner asked the woman to pay for the skirts, offering a discount of RMB 500 (RM297) on each item.
She felt it wasn’t her fault since it was accidental
However, the customer refused to pay for the skirts, arguing that staining them during her menstrual period was an accident and not something she did on purpose. She was only willing to cover the cleaning fee.
Since both parties couldn’t reach a mutual agreement, the store owner decided to file a police report. In the end, the four skirts had to be destroyed as they could no longer be sold.
The store owner expressed frustration, saying,
“The customer can afford a RM240,000 car, but wouldn’t pay for the skirts. In my 10 years of running this store, I’ve never come across anything like this.”
