
PENAMPANG: A 58-year-old woman sustained injury to her left ankle after being struck by a fallen tree in Kampung Kibambangan, Putaton Inobong, on Saturday morning.
The incident was reported at 9.30am, prompting an eight-member team from the District Fire and Rescue Station to respond and reach the scene within 10 minutes.
According to the Fire Department, the tree had fallen when a loose log slid and hit the victim’s left foot.

The woman was then carried out using a stretcher and transported to the hospital by Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) for further treatment.
