PETALING JAYA: A woman has been left devastated after her husband was killed in a road accident on Jalan Yaakubiah in Lundang today, just two months after the couple got married, NST reports.

Ruzita Amalin Abdullah, 27, reportedly said she was struggling to come to terms with the loss of her husband, Muhd Fadzeli Nameram, 32, as the day of the accident also marked the second month of their marriage.

She recalled that her husband would often tell her to “look at his face for as long as possible”, words she never imagined would become a painful reality.

“He would always say, ‘Look at my face for as long as you can. When I’m no longer around, it will be difficult.’ I never thought those words would one day come true,” she said.

Muhd Fadzeli died after the motorcycle he was riding was involved in a collision with a car on Jalan Yaakubiah.

Ruzita said she learned of the accident after receiving a call from her sister-in-law at about 4.30pm.

She revealed that Muhd Fadzeli was her third husband. Her first husband died from kidney disease, while her second marriage ended in divorce.

“Once again, I have lost the person I depended on. My husband of only two months has now been taken from me,” she said when met at the forensic unit of Hospital Pakar Universiti Sains Malaysia (HPUSM).

The mother of two, whose children are from her first marriage, said she was working at a factory in Pengkalan Chepa when she received the tragic news.

“My husband had gone out to buy vehicle spare parts. Before I left for work this morning, we said goodbye to each other as we always did.

“I never imagined that just a few hours later I would be told that he had died,” she said.

She said Muhd Fadzeli would be buried at the Kampung Chicha Menyabung Muslim cemetery in Sering after the post-mortem examination.

Meanwhile, Kota Bharu district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azmir Damiri confirmed the fatal road accident.
