PETALING JAYA - A woman faced a terrifying moment as she was trapped in an elevator at a shopping mall at Section 13 here today.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said a team of firemen from the Damansara Fire and Rescue Station were rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call at 1.13pm.
"Upon arrival, we found out that the lift was stuck on the fourth floor with a 28-year-old woman in it.
"The victim was successfully extricated after being trapped for around 10 minutes," he told Sinar Harian on Wednesday.
Norazam said the victim did not suffer any injuries and that the incident took place as the six-storey premises lost its electricity supply earlier today.

It had in a statement announced that power outage involved 2.2GW which represented 10 per cent of the total electricity supply demanded.
