Worker dies after being crushed between a crane and metal barrier

The victim was a Nepal citizen known as Das Chandan Kumar, 20, announced dead on the scene by a medical personnel.

Iskandar Puteri Fire and Rescu Services (BBP) Operations Commander Senior Fire Officer II Ahmad Nazran Omar said after he received the emergency call at 5.50pm, 11 personnel and a utility Hilux machinery was sent to the location.

"The members used the special "rescue cutter" tool. Examinations were carried out by the medical officers on scene confirmed the victim had died.

"The victim's body was brought to Johor Bahru Sultanah Aminah Hospital and the case was given to the police for further actions," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
