Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos is in Brazil waiting to sign for Palmeiras.
The Brazil U20 captain was snapped up by Chelsea from Vasco da Gama in January.
Santos was in England last week, but after failing to secure a UK work permit, he has now returned home to Brazil, says Lance!.
The 18 year-old is now waiting on Chelsea and Palmeiras to strike terms over a loan arrangement.
The sticking point is the U20 World Cup. Chelsea want Santos to be free to participate in the tournament later this year, while Palmeiras want to be able to make the final decision unilaterally.
