WORLD Trade Center Metro Manila (WTCMM) on Wednesday said it is investing P3 billion for its expansion to increase the facility’s indoor exhibition capacity by 2028.
The plan to expand comes amid rising demand from local and international organizers for larger, more flexible venues to host major trade shows, conferences and business events.
With its halls in high demand and its calendar anchored by regular annual exhibitions, the venue has also drawn interest from local and international organizers.
The expansion will scale total capacity to nearly 20,000 square meters of indoor exhibition space, while maintaining approximately 7,000 square meters of outdoor space for flexible outdoor setups and activation.
“This expansion is an investment in the future of the Philippine exhibitions and events industry,” WTCMMC chairman and CEO Pamela Pascual said.
“It reflects our confidence in the market, our commitment to helping our partners scale, and our determination to ensure that the Philippines remains competitive in attracting major regional and international events.”
The expanded center will also offer greater flexibility for large-scale exhibitions, multi-hall and function room configurations, and integrated indoor-outdoor event experiences, catering to the evolving needs of event organizers.
With increased capacity and improved infrastructure, the center can welcome more foreign organizers, attract global trade shows and further strengthen the country’s footprint in the regional and international MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) landscape.
In preparation for the opening of the expanded facility in 2028, the venue will start accepting advance bookings, giving organizers early access to prime dates and the opportunity to plan flagship events for the new expanded venue.
Opened in October 1996 and an accredited member of the World Trade Centers Association, World Trade Center Metro Manila is a pioneer in the provision of a world-class exhibition venue in the country.
