‘Worst guard dog’: Golden retriever pesters home intruder to play during break-in

A golden retriever pestered a home intruder to play during a break-in in San Diego, California, security video shows.

Homeowner Dante Rowley said he and his family watched the incident unfold in real-time remotely through their home cameras as they were boarding a flight.

Instead of chasing the man away, the family's dog Nash was keen to make friends, bringing the individual his toys.

When police arrived at the door, the pooch appeared to believe they were there for one reason – playtime.

"Nash is the worst guard dog," Rowley wrote.

Footage from outside the house shows police officers placing the man in handcuffs.
