Jiangsu Suning have made a first offer for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.
Bale is up for sale this summer, with Real coach Zinedine Zidane eager to see them Welshman leave.
SINA Sport reports Jiangsu Suning have made a 22m offer to Real plus a contract offer to Bale worth 17m-a-season for two years.
The proposal was immediately rejected, with Chinese sources recognising it was "insulting".
In contrast, Guangzhou Evergrande paid 42m to Barcelona for Paulinho a year ago.
