Y-3 continues its exploration of fashion and performance with a new collaboration alongside Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, bringing the energy of the racetrack into a striking, design-led collection.
First teased during Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2026, the full collection is now revealed through a campaign featuring drivers George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, alongside Team Principal Toto Wolff.
Motorsport Meets Avant-Garde

The campaign captures a dramatic interplay of light and motion, set between sunset and nightfall. Racing visuals are reinterpreted through a fashion lens, where fleeting sparks, artificial light and kinetic energy translate into still, almost cinematic imagery.
This approach reflects Y-3’s long-standing identity — one that sits at the intersection of experimental design and high-performance sportswear.
A Symbolic Design Language

At the core of the collection is a recurring wolf motif, inspired by Japanese mythology. Representing speed, instinct and protection, the graphic returns as a key visual across both teamwear and fanwear pieces.
The motif also nods to a past adidas design moment, linking heritage with contemporary storytelling while reinforcing the connection between athlete and identity.
Additional graphics draw from the visual intensity of Formula One itself, including smoke trails and trackside energy — elements translated into wearable, statement-making designs.
From Track to Culture

The collaboration extends beyond aesthetics, marking a rare crossover between high fashion and Formula One. Designed by Y-3 in partnership with adidas, the collection is set to be worn by the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team during the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka Circuit.
This moment signals a broader shift, where performance gear moves fluidly between professional sport and cultural expression.
A New Chapter For Performance Fashion
For Y-3, the collaboration represents a continuation of its two-decade legacy of redefining sportswear through a conceptual lens. For Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS, it introduces a fresh visual identity that bridges technical precision with creative experimentation.
As the worlds of fashion and motorsport continue to intersect, this collection highlights how both industries are evolving — not just in performance, but in storytelling, identity and global cultural relevance.
