YB wants action on power woe in some Batu Sapi villages

SANDAKAN: There are still some villages in the Batu Sapi area, here, that are yet to enjoy electricity supply.

Batu Sapi MP Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan wants the issue affecting Kampung Bonggaya Baru and Kampung Sundang to be resolved immediately.

He said it is to facilitate the process of connecting electricity supply to several other villages facing the same problem.

He said, at the moment, efforts are also being made to supply electricity to residents of the villages concerned.

“This will facilitate the process of connecting other villages (with electricity) following the appropriate steps,” he said after conducting a survey with Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) in the villages recently.

Khairul opined that the installation of prepaid meters would be apt given the location.

Through the proposed methods of installation, he hoped it would make monitoring easier while avoiding unwanted incidents.
