In the post, it included a photo of Transport Minister Anthony Loke presenting the ‘GOLD 1’ license plate to the King during an audience at Istana Negara.

The King is widely known for being an avid collector of unique license plates as well as forking out huge amounts of money to secure them.

On May 29, 2012, His Majesty bought the ‘WWW1’ number plate, where he set the record for the highest bid amount of RM520,000, reported The Star.

A year later, he purchased the ‘F1’ number plate for RM836,660 and secured the ‘VR46’ plate for RM55,002.20 in 2017.
