
Heavy rainfall is likely to take place across Himachal Pradesh on June 15. The state’s meteorological centre has issued yellow weather warning for seven districts — Shimla, Kullu, Mandi, Solan, Kangra, Sirmour and Chamba.
Thunderstorms and lightning, accompanied by gusty winds, will occur at isolated places of these districts throughout the day. The centre has also forecast light rainfall for most parts of the state till June 20. However, minimum temperatures are expected to rise by 2°C to 5°C in the next few days. Similarly, maximum temperatures are expected to surge by 4°C to 8°C.
Meanwhile, light to moderate rainfall continued to occur in isolated parts of the state during the past 24 hours. Weather in most parts of the state was dry. However, minimum temperatures across the state were down by 2°C to 5°C, while maximum temperatures were also down by 2°C to 7°C, ranging between 13°C to 37°C.
The maximum temperature in Shimla was 25.6°C, Dharamsala 30°C, Solan 28°C, Kangra 32.2°C, Mandi 34.2°C, Sundernagar 33.1°C, Bhuntar 32.2°C, Kalpa 21.8°C, Keylong 18.8°C and Nahan 30°C. The highest maximum temperature in the state was 37°C, which was recorded in Una, while the lowest minimum temperature was 5.9°C, which was recorded in Kukumseri in Lahaul and Spiti.
