Miguel Angel Portugal has no doubts about the quality of Atletico Madrid fullback Renan Lodi.
Portugal coached Lodi during his spell at Athletico Paranaense and has discussed his style of play.
"He needs more experience in Europe, but he has a good opportunity to acquire this," Portugal said in an interview with MARCA.
"I think he will adapt to Diego Simeone, who likes to play with full-backs like Filipe Luis.
"Although this kid reminds me much more of Marcelo.
"You notice him when you first see him defend.
"I got to work with him when we brought youngsters up to play against the first team and he has a great attitude."
