The Volvo Padel Open, Malaysia’s largest padel tournament, is back from 21 June to 27 July 2025, with registrations open now until 3 July 2025. Organised in partnership with Joy Division Padel, Padelground, and PadelKu, this year’s event features new venues, more matches, and a prize pool worth over RM180,000.
Up to 320 players will compete across three skill categories – Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced – with prizes including cash, exclusive merchandise, court hours, and a seven-day experience in a fully-electric Volvo.
Entry fees are RM160 per person or RM320 per team, with a 50% discount for Volvo car owners. Players in the Beginner category will play qualifying rounds using the “americano” format, where individuals rotate partners to earn points. The top 16 male and female players will advance to the semifinals in fixed pairs.
All To Play For

Intermediate and Advanced participants must register as teams and will compete in men’s and mixed divisions, starting with round-robin qualifiers followed by knockout rounds.
To ensure fair play, mandatory player assessments will be conducted for Beginner and Intermediate categories. Additionally, complimentary coaching clinics are available for these categories to help players improve skills and confidence before the tournament.
The finals will be hosted at Joy Division Padel’s new JOY2 facility in Petaling Jaya, featuring tournament-level courts. Finals are open to public spectators, with exclusive hospitality for all participants.
