Kuching is set for a weekend of movement, wellness and community giving as Move For Gold 2026 takes place from 3rd - 5th July at The Hills and Pullman Kuching.

Organised by DefyLAB in support of Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS), Move For Gold 2026 brings together fitness, wellness, family activities and fundraising in conjunction with SCCS’ 25th anniversary. The campaign is supported by Mubadala Energy as Title Sponsor.

The event will feature a wide range of activities for different ages and interests, including GoBald 2026, Blood Donation, LaVie Wellness Cold Plunge, CrossFit Challenge, Family Pool Games, Mini Jungle Warrior Challenge, Busy Goose Market 3.0, and the Golden Loop 5KM Run.

A major highlight of the weekend is the Fitness & Wellness Festival, which brings together talks, screenings, classes and movement sessions for the public. Visitors can look forward to sound bath, yoga flow, Pilates, aqua aerobics, STRONG Nation, Jiu Jitsu, mobility and recovery stretch, and women’s self defence awareness.

The Fitness & Wellness Festival will also feature Timberland Medical Centre health talks covering brain and spine tumours in children, cervical cancer, healthy ears and learning, and common childhood illnesses. Jaya Chiropractic will offer chiropractic and posture screening sessions, while free health screening will also be available for the public.

Families can look forward to Swim to Donate and inflatable Family Pool Games by Hornbill Swimmers, while All Stars will present the Mini Jungle Warrior Challenge for children. Designed around movement and wholesome development, the challenge encourages children to build motor skills, focus, confidence and self-belief through active play.

For those who are up for a physical challenge, CrossFit Kuching will be bringing CrossFit challenges open to anyone ready to test themselves in an energetic, community-driven setting. The LaVie Wellness Cold Plunge will also invite participants to take on a colder, bolder challenge for a good cause.

Visitors can support SCCS by purchasing the Move For Gold coupon booklet, priced at RM100. The coupons can be used across participating activities during the event weekend. Purchases of the coupon booklets are tax deductible, with proceeds benefiting SCCS.

Those who would still like to contribute but are unable to attend the event can still show their love through the SCCS website.

Whether you are joining a class, taking on a challenge, bringing your family, shopping at the market, donating, or simply showing up for the cause, every act of participation helps support children and families affected by childhood cancer.
