How are you planning to spend New Year’s Eve? Watching fireworks most probably, or having some good food with friends. While some love to celebrate the year-end cheer, others would rather run from parties as far as they possibly can. There are many ways people will spend the last moments of the year. So what kind of people are they? Read on to find out our unserious takes on what your New Year’s Eve plans say about you.

Some see the year end as another huge party to celebrate accomplishments, catch-up with old friends, and countdown to the new year. Their New Year’s Eve plans are to plan out the next year’s parties. With everyone on holiday break and in a festive mood, throwing a large bash is more than welcome. Perhaps, even night out downtown in their favourite outfits to hit the best bars and restaurants in the city. And of course, popping a bottle of bubbly Champagne as they cheer to another successful year.

Meanwhile, there are those who retreat from all the noise. Some spend it in isolation, in a quiet neighbourhood far from the city fireworks. Some travel as far as other winter destinations to unwind and relax. The important thing here is the time to reflect on the year, taking account of both good and bad. With that, one has the clarity of mind to set New Year’s resolutions and goals for the coming year. Some people feel truly at peace with a hot beverage by a fireplace alone, away from people and expectations.

So which New Year’s Eve plans sound best to you? Here are some ideas and what kind of person you are based on them.

At a distant holiday destination

You treasure your time alone so much that you’re willing to travel for it. No big cities or loud places for you though, just a cabin in some snowy place with more animals than humans. It’s your time to hibernate, go offline from emails and social media and be yourself. Whether you’re watching the Northern lights or on a distant island beach, you’re giving a toast to you.

Dinner at home with friends

You’re an introvert who is lucky to have friends as introverted as you. Instead for spending money outside, you’ve all decided to cook your favourite dishes indoors and celebrate at a friends apartment. Your social circle may be small but it’s one you hold close, and you don’t mind that at all.

Asleep

You’ve probably had enough of Christmas parties and gatherings and need to catch up on sleep. Perhaps you’ve lost some rest over planning Christmas parties or from being ridiculously hungover from them. Either way, you can’t be bothered with any of this New Year’s nonsense and we don’t blame you for it. However, good luck resting once the clock hits 12.
