Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda on Tuesday described the High Court’s decision to cancel the Assistant Professor English recruitment as a victory for the struggle of Haryana’s youth.
He claimed that these were the same candidates who were insulted by the HPSC Chairman, who called them “incompetent”. “Today’s court decision has made it clear that while Haryana’s youth are capable, the system that recruits them is incompetent. The reality is that the HPSC Chairman is unworthy of holding this position,” he stated.
He said the previous BJP government cancelled the PTI recruitment out of political vendetta. “Not a single recruitment was cancelled during the Congress government. However, under BJP rule, cases of paper leaks, exam and recruitment cancellations, and bribery have come to light,” he said, adding even those classes that should have benefited from recruitment reservation were cheated.
Hooda said for 613 Assistant Professor (English) positions, 151 candidates were selected, while the remaining positions remained vacant. In a grave injustice to the DSC category, only one of the 60 reserved seats was selected, and the remaining seats were left vacant.
