YOUNG voters, especially those newly eligible at 18 years and above, have been urged to exercise their voting rights wisely in the 17th Sabah General Election by supporting the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), which is widely recognised for its commitment to assisting people across all levels of society.
Datuk Isnin Aliasneh, Head of the Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) Klias division, emphasised that the GRS government is the only political coalition genuinely focused on the development and future prospects of Sabah’s youth.
“I urge young people, particularly first-time voters, to give their support and votes to GRS. This is the party that has done much to help young people, including those still in school,” he told Sabah Media.
As the incumbent representative for the Klias state assembly seat, Isnin highlighted GRS’s success in boosting the state’s revenue and maintaining economic stability compared to previous administrations.
“GRS does not merely talk; it fulfils promises and demonstrates administrative capability. So, do not waste your vote on parties that only talk without action,” he added.
Mohd Isquzawan Israq Arsit, Head of the Gagasan Rakyat Petagas division, also appealed to young voters to recognise the government’s efforts in providing initiatives such as the Cash Assistance for Higher Education Registration (BUDI), the Student Assistance for Higher Education in Sabah (SENTOSA), and various other education-related aids.
“I hope young people and first-time voters will continue to support the GRS government for the future welfare of Sabah’s students and youth,” he said.
Meanwhile, Datuk Fairuz Renddan, Head of the Youth Movement for Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah, underscored the decisive role of young voters in shaping the future direction of the state government.
“To all young people in Sabah, especially first-time voters, make the best decision. The future of this state is in our hands,” he said. “Go out and vote, do not miss this opportunity. Vote for stability, vote for GRS.” - October 23, 2025
