
To provide wider choice to students, Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, has introduced new academic programmes in agriculture, business and allied sciences for the 2026-27 academic session.
The new options comprise BSc (Hons) agribusiness management programme with an intake capacity of 50 seats. This four-year undergraduate degree integrates agricultural sciences with business management principles and prepares students to manage agribusiness enterprises, supply chains, commodity markets and agricultural ventures. Graduates can pursue careers as agribusiness managers, marketing professionals or agricultural entrepreneurs. The university already offers an MBA in agribusiness management, enabling students to continue advanced studies in the field.
The university has also restarted its MBA (General) programme with an intake capacity of 50 seats, offering graduates an opportunity to build careers in management across diverse sectors.
Additionally, postgraduate students will also have the option to pursue an MSc in agricultural meteorology. The programme focuses on understanding the impact of weather and climate on agriculture and equips students with the knowledge and skills required to provide scientific guidance to farmers for climate-resilient agricultural practices.
Applications for BSc (Hons) agribusiness management can be submitted up to July 23, while applications with a late fee will be accepted until July 27. The merit list of selected candidates will be displayed on July 31. Candidates seeking admission to the MBA (General) and MSc agricultural meteorology programmes may apply until June 30, with applications accepted up to July 6 along with a late fee. The entrance examination for both programmes will be conducted at the university’s main campus on July 12 informed official.
The university is also offering BSc (Hons) horticulture and BSc (Hons) forestry at its main campus in Nauni and at Colleges of Horticulture and Forestry (COH&F), Neri, and Thunag.
At the main campus, students can additionally pursue BSc (Agriculture-Hons) in natural farming and BTech food technology (Self-Financing). At COH&F Neri, the university offers BTech biotechnology and BTech food technology programmes.
