KUDAT: Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has not ruled out the possibility of Kudat MP Datuk Verdon Bahanda and Kota Marudu MP Datuk Wetrom Bahanda joining the "blue wave".
Speaking after officiating the Rungus Cultural Festival in Matunggong on Saturday, Ahmad Zahid stated that he trusts Sabah BN chairman Datuk Seri Arthur Joseph Kurup to handle the relevant negotiations with both leaders.
He praised both parliamentarians for consistently meeting him during parliamentary sessions to highlight local issues and secure allocations for their respective constituencies.
Addressing seat allocations for upcoming elections, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that BN remains open to seat-swapping negotiations with other parties, provided the overall seat tally for each involved party remains intact.
He emphasised that while BN will not close doors to reasonable discussions, seats won by any party must fundamentally be respected and preserved.
