Zayn Rayyan's mother taken to incident scene

Police securing the location at Damansara Damai, Petaling Jaya.

PETALING JAYA - Police brought the mother of Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin, 6, to their residence in Damansara Damai here, believed to reenact the incident.

It is estimated that a total of 10 media personnel were at the location to report on the procedures and the latest developments in the case.

Reporters who were at the location found that the suspect arrived at about 10.15am in a white van heading to Block R in the residence.

It is understood that the suspect will be taken back to the residence and the location where the child was found, which was a river located approximately 200 metres from the residential block, to reenact the incident.

Police were also seen carrying a doll, however the purpose has yet to be ascertained.

The area around the scene of the incident is also tightly controlled by the police.

Previously, it was reported that Zayn Rayyan's parents were remanded for seven days ending Friday and remanded a second time for another six days until next Wednesday.

On Dec 6 last year, Zayn Rayyan's body was found in a river near the Idaman Damansara Damai Apartment area at 10pm.

The victim's body was found by a group of residents who carried out a search operation.

The police confirmed that the victim was believed to have been killed following an autopsy finding injuries to the child's neck and body that were related to criminal acts.

The case is investigated according to Section 302 of the Penal Code.
