- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has proposed a meeting between himself and Vladimir Putin in an an open letter to the Russian president on Thursday.
- Zelensky said the majority of Russians had grown tired of Ukrainian missile and drones attacks, inflation and fuel shortages, and were ready for peace.
- Zelensky warned that a lack of a peace deal could threaten Putin's personal position.
- He said: "It is a fact of Russian history that you know well: when Russia grows tired, change comes."
- It comes after Putin did not rule out signing a peace deal with Zelensky if an agreement could be reached.
