- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has condemned an "absolutely disgraceful" shootout in Kyiv between the country’s military intelligence agency (HUR) and State Security Service (SBU).
- The confrontation erupted when armed HUR officers attempted to intervene during an SBU search involving Stepan Kaplunov, the deputy commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps.
- Three officers were reported injured in the exchange of gunfire, which led Mr Zelensky to dismiss senior SBU official Oleh Khramov.
- Mr Zelensky said that state weapons are strictly to be used in defence of Ukraine against Russian occupiers, warning that internal armed disputes will not be tolerated.
- A criminal investigation has been launched by the Prosecutor General's Office and the State Bureau of Investigation to establish responsibility for the incident.
