Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said he has received information that China is supplying weapons to Russia, including gunpowder and artillery.
Speaking at a media briefing in Kyiv, Zelenskyy said "We will be ready to discuss this in detail."
"As of today, we have general information from the Security Service and intelligence about gunpowder and artillery. I think we will be able to speak about it very comprehensively next week, especially regarding the data according to which we believe representatives of China are engaged in producing certain weapons on the territory of Russia," he said.
China has publicly always maintained its neutrality in the Ukraine conflict, but Beijing has provided diplomatic backing and economic support to Russia since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began in 2022.
