Former Chelsea star Yuri Zhirkov has weighed into the prospect of Dynamo Moscow winger Arsen Zakharyan moving to Stamford Bridge.
A deal was close between the two clubs, only for financial sanctions on Russia to stall the move. However, talks will resume ahead of the January market.
Zhirkov admits he's a fan of the youngster.
"Good player," he told Sport-Express. "One of the leaders of Dynamo."
Asked if he can succeed at Chelsea, Zhirkov added: "Why not? Khvicha (Kvaratskhelia, Napoli) went, plays in a super way. Everyone has a chance."
