PARIS, Aug 4 — National badminton player Lee Zii Jia’s Olympic semifinal match with Thailand’s Kunalvut Vitidsarn started off on even ground with a 4-4 match record between them. In the end Kunalvut prevailed, winning the bout in two sets.

The Thai player dominated from the beginning, winning the first set 21-14, with Lee unable to keep up.

By the second set, Lee was earnestly trying to catch up but Kunalvut was in fine form.

Inevitably, Kunalvut sealed his finals berth by winning the final set with the score being 21-15.

He will move on to the next round tomorrow to determine the gold and silver, while Lee still has a chance to clinch a bronze.
