Zlatan Ibrahimovic has quickly become one of the standout personalities on Fox Sports’ 2026 World Cup coverage.
The former Sweden striker is working alongside Thierry Henry, Alexi Lalas and Rebecca Lowe, giving the studio a mix of star power, analysis and personality during the tournament.
But Ibrahimovic’s appearance on After Hours with James Corden created a light-hearted issue this Tuesday, after his Fox colleagues questioned him about answers he gave during a lie detector segment.

During the comedy show, Ibrahimovic was asked whether he thought he was a better player than Henry, and he answered yes.
He was then asked whether World Cup coverage would be better if he worked alongside three other Zlatans, rather than his actual Fox colleagues. Again, he answered positively.
The lie detector suggested he was telling the truth both times, which left Henry, Lalas and Lowe with an obvious opening when the clip resurfaced on Fox Sports.
Pressed by his colleagues in a light-hearted tone, Ibrahimovic tried to smooth it over without fully walking anything back.
He said: “This is the media. They are trying to create some problems for us. Trust me, it’s only love. Rebecca, you look green, you look good. Thierry, you look sharp, monsieur. Alexi we can discuss.”
That last line kept the joke alive, especially because it sounded exactly like Ibrahimovic.
