Zohran Mamdani’s fashionista wife rocks unique Knicks T-shirt dress at victory parade

  • New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani and his wife, Rama Duwaji, joined tens of thousands of Knicks fans Thursday to celebrate the Knicks at their victory parade.
  • Mamdani wore a Josh Hart jersey under his suit jacket while Duwaji, who is known for her fashionable outfits and accessories, wore a dress made out of Knicks T-shirts. The upcycled dress was by 2026 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist Miss Claire Sullivan, Vogue reported, and Duwaji layered it over a black skirt with orange pom-pom earrings.
  • The historic procession began near Battery Park, winding up Broadway through the "Canyon of Heroes" to City Hall, where players were given keys to the city, joined by Knicks legends Walt "Clyde" Frazier and Patrick Ewing, and a performance by Grammy-winning singer Alicia Keys.
  • The parade held significant historical importance as it was the first ticker-tape celebration for a Knicks championship, as previous victories in the 1970s did not receive such extravaganzas due to financial considerations.
  • Authorities deployed 10,000 police officers and 650 sanitation workers to ensure public safety and manage the massive crowds, with the event marking the city's 210th ticker-tape parade, following a similar one for the WNBA's New York Liberty in 2024.
