Are Malaysians still paying 20 sen for plastic bags?

Selangor collected RM13.35 million from plastic bag charges in 2023.

Two years later: RM6.97 million.

Almost half.

We complained about the 20 sen. We paid it anyway.

And somewhere along the way… a lot of us apparently started remembering our own bags.
