Why are some burgers in Malaysia so much cheaper than others?

We usually assume a burger is just a burger.
But after speaking to the founder of Dara Burgers, who has been supplying burgers to major retailers for 20 years, I realised the biggest difference isnt always the brand.
Sometimes, it’s the meat.
Malaysia imports almost 80% of the bovine meat we consume, and different manufacturers make very different sourcing decisions. Some prioritise lower costs. Others choose more expensive imported cattle beef instead.
