SEREMBAN – The cancellation of the appointments of 10 Negeri Sembilan State Executive Council (Exco) members was gazetted on Thursday.
The gazette dated Sept 24 stated that the appointments of the Exco members were revoked with effect from Sept 20 by the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, pursuant to Article 38(5) of the Constitution of the State of Negeri Sembilan 1959.
The gazette stated that all 10 Exco members had taken and signed the oath and pledge of allegiance before Tuanku Muhriz on Aug 7, 2026, before assuming office as Negeri Sembilan Exco members.
According to the gazette, the appointments were revoked after all 10 were found to have breached the oath of allegiance they had taken.
“Given that you have breached the said oath of allegiance, I hereby withdraw my assent and revoke your appointments as members of the Negeri Sembilan State Executive Council,” the gazette stated.
Those involved are Datuk Mohd Faizal Ramli, Datuk Zaifulbahri Idris, Datuk Mustapha Nagoor, Siow Kong Choon, Siti Nur Umaira Hasim, Datuk Mohd Asna Amin, Datuk Mohd Razi Mohd Ali, Suhaimizan Bizar, Mohd Fairuz Mohd Isa and Datuk Razali Abu Samah.
