The operations, code-named Ops Sapu and Ops Selera, were among the department’s efforts to combat illegal immigration.
In the Ops Sapu on June 9 at two locations, three individuals comprising two men from China and another man from Pakistan were detained out of 12 individuals screened.

They were detained for not having valid travel documents and are being investigated under Section 6(1)(c) and Section 15(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 as well as Regulation 39(b) of the Immigration Regulations.
