Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Jatin Lal administered the oath of office to 17 newly elected Zila Parishad members at the Zila Parishad meeting hall today. Una MLA Satpal Singh Satti was also present at the ceremony.

Congratulating the new team, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) emphasised that the Zila Parishad provides a strong foundation for the country’s political system. He noted that the institution plays a pivotal role in directing rural development and public welfare activities.

MLA Satpal Singh Satti also extended his best wishes, expressing hope that the members would prioritise their duties with transparency, dedication and commitment.

The members who took the oath include — Pawanjeet Singh (Mubarikpur), Aruna Lata (Kutheda Khairla), Sarban Singh (Thathal), Yog Raj (Sohari), Anita Devi (Lathiani), Chanchal Bala (Dhanet), Sumit Kumar Sharma (Takka), Anu Thakur (Chattara), Avinash Kumar (Dehlan Upper), Bindu Sharma (Raipur Sahoran), Jyoti Bala (Bathu), Sulinder Pal Kaur (Dulehar), Kewal Singh (Haroli), Indu Bala (Panjawar), Pawan Kumar (Ambota), Arti Devi (Chalet) and Gurmukh Singh (Bhanjal Lower)

District Panchayat Officer Sarwan Kumar, who serves as the member secretary of the Zila Parishad, was also present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, across their respective development blocks, all five SDMs administered the oath of office to the newly elected panchayat samiti members.

Oath-taking ceremony in Bilaspur, Hamirpur

Swearing-in ceremonies were held today for the newly elected members of the Zila Parishad (ZP) in Bilaspur and Hamirpur.

In Bilaspur, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rahul Kumar administered the oath of office and secrecy to all 14 newly elected ZP members. The members who took the oath include Jamna Devi (Ghandalvi), Raksha Kumari (Gahar ward), Nishu Devi (Kutheda), Promila Devi (Nanawan), Narendra Kumar (Badgaon), Jarnail Singh (Rohal), Asha Devi (Jejvi), Devansh Chandel (Jangla), Sapna Kumari (Bamta), Ashok Kumar (Barmana), Surbhi Thakur (Namhol), Lekh Ram (Jukhala), Rattan Chand (Swahan) and Tarsem Singh (Kotkhas).

Speaking on the occasion, the DC emphasised that voters had placed great trust in the winners, making it their crucial responsibility to live up to public expectations. He urged them to work with complete transparency, accountability and a spirit of dedication.

Meanwhile, the oath-taking ceremony for the 19 newly elected ZP members of Hamirpur was held at the ZP conference hall, where DC Gandharva Rathore administered the oath.

The newly sworn-in members include Tripta Devi (Beed Bagehra ward), Asha Devi (Panoh), Manjit Singh (Darogan Patti Kot), Jyoti Thakur (Uhal), Soni Kumar (Jungle Ropa), Suresh Soni (Tal), Rohit Sharma (Chamned), Rajni Devi (Badhani), Anita Sharma (Dhamrol), Pawan Kumar (Jahu), Anita Devi (Mahal), Gurdeep Singh (Karer), Vikas Kumar (Bijhri), Rameshwar Dutt (Jhanjhyani), Renu Bala (Dandru), Ranjana Kumari (Lahra), Vandana Kumari (Malag), Ravindra Kumar (Amlahad) and Neelam Kumari (Saproh).

On the occasion, the DC urged all members to dedicate themselves to the development of their respective areas, assuring them of the administration’s full support in their endeavours.
