
Two youths were killed and one injured after a truck allegedly rammed into a tractor-trailer near Bhanra railway station on the Patiala-Samana road on Sunday.
The accident took place when three youths from Badshahpur Kaleke village were returning home on a tractor-trailer after selling green fodder in the Patiala grain market. A tipper carrying earth-filling material, coming from the Patiala side, allegedly hit the tractor-trailer from behind, revealed preliminary police investigation. The deceased have been identified as Rajvinder Singh (32), a resident of Badshahpur Kaleke; and migrant labourer Girdari Lal, hailing from Uttar Pradesh.
The police sources said both of them died on the spot. Dilawar Singh sustained injuries, while Tilak escaped with minor injuries. The injured were shifted to the government hospital.
