Three members of the same family are facing charges of serious physical injury before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), after mauling a man in Sta. Rosa, Laguna during a basketball game, according to documents from the agency.
The victim, Ferlito Teves, had severe traumatic injuries to his right eye and surrounding area, after he was attacked by Redenly Batusin, Martin Batusin and Diether John Batusin while they were playing a basketball game last July 24.
According to the complaint, the trio violated Article 263 (4) of the Revised Penal Code, which penalizes people inflicting serious physical injuries.
The complaint against the trio was received by the Office of the City Prosecutor of Santa Rosa on Wednesday.
