SANDAKAN: A 51-year-old Indonesian man was jailed a total of 30 years by the Sessions Court for raping a 14-year-old girl twice in Kinabatangan.
Anis Serrang pleaded guilty before Judge Zaini Fishir @ Fisal to committing the offence on March 2023 and March 2024 in a forest area.
Anis was jailed 15 years on each charge under Section 376 (1) of the Penal Code and ordered to serve the sentence concurrently.
He was ordered to be referred to the Immigration Department for deportation thereafter.

The medical officer contacted the Kinabatangan police station to make a police report which led to Anis being arrested on April 25.
