MANGGATAL: Some 38,284 housewives in Sabah are eligible to be protected under the Social Security Organisation (Socso)’s Housewives’ Social Security Scheme (HSSS).
However, only 92 of them had registered for the scheme as of Dec 27.
Deputy Human Resource Minister Mustapha Sakmud therefore called on all eligible housewives in the State to register and contribute for HSSR which provides them protection against accidents, illnesses and deaths related to household management.
HSSS was launched by Socso on Dec 1 under the provisions of the Housewives’ Social Security Act 2022 (Act 838).
