Josh Hokit seemed to have a bit of fun with how quickly Tallison Teixeira’s night ended.

Hokit is set to face Derrick Lewis at UFC 306 on the White House lawn, but while he prepares, another hard-hitting heavyweight was making headlines in Macau.

Sergei Pavlovich snapped his three-year knockout drought by stopping Teixeira in just 39 seconds at UFC Macau.

Pavlovich’s power is well known, but Hokit wasn’t overly impressed by what he saw from the Russian at Galaxy Arena.

Josh Hokit dismisses Sergei Pavlovich’s win at UFC Macau

Tallison Teixeira has been part of Alex Pereira’s preparation team ahead of his June 14th move to the heavyweight division.

Pereira is set to face Ciryl Gane for the interim title in Washington D.C., and he’s shared sparring footage with Teixeira as part of his build-up. However, Hokit isn’t impressed, referring to Teixeira as a “practice dummy.”

Speaking after the UFC labelled Pavlovich as the division’s “boogeyman,” Hokit downplayed the win, saying: “Anyone can be the boogeyman if they fight this Brazilian practice dummy,” Hokit wrote on X.

After what happened at the White House press conference in Newark earlier this month, security may need to keep an eye out when ‘The Incredible Hok’ arrives in D.C.

Hokit was ejected from that event following a clash with Pereira and Ilia Topuria, with Topuria stepping in to back up ‘Poatan’ during an exchange of words.
