MANILA, Philippines — Over 400 Filipinos arrived home from the Middle East on Saturday, amid the ongoing war in the region, Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac said in a Facebook post on the same day.
Cacdac was on board a government-chartered Boeing 747-400 flight from Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Among the Filipinos on board were 200 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
“We have landed. [Some] 442 Filipinos from the UAE on the PHL Government-chartered B747-400 flight, as directed by President [Ferdinand Marcos Jr., are home,” he wrote.
Cacdac’s short video showed himself with some of the Filipinos thanking the government.
The DMW said their chief and the Filipinos landed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 at noontime on Saturday.
