More Filipinos flee conflict, arrive in Manila

MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) announced that several Filipinos from Qatar, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates have returned to the country amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

On Wednesday afternoon, 20 Filipino workers from Qatar arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.

At 9 p.m., the first batch of Filipinos arrived at NAIA Terminal 1 from Israel. They traveled there from Cairo, Egypt via Muscat, Oman, through the cooperation of the Philippine Embassy, DMW, the Migrant Workers Office in Israel and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration.

Not long after, 25 Filipinos and one dependent from Dubai arrived in the country via Emirates Airlines flight EK 334.
